At Chartwells K12, we care about more than just serving food—we want every child to leave the cafeteria happier and healthier. That’s why we’re launching the School Meals Report Card, a short survey to hear from the people who matter most: you and your children.
What’s This Survey About?
This quick survey asks about your experience with school meals. Your feedback helps us understand what’s working and what can be better—not just here in ECSD, but across the country.
Why It Matters
Your voice helps shape the meals we serve every day. The survey is open from October 13 to November 7, 2025. The more we hear from families, the more we can improve.
How to Take the Survey
You can access the survey in just a few clicks:
Scan the QR code on the flyer sent home
Or use the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SMRC2025
Your Privacy
This survey is anonymous. We won’t collect any names or personal information.

Thank you to the students for helping to keep our community looking great!

The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office has invited our school to participate in a new initiative that celebrates student attendance and supports future college savings! Each month, they will award three students across Nevada in Pre-K through 5th grade who have achieved perfect attendance with a $529 College Savings Plan.
There is no cost to participate, and it’s a great way to:
Encourage consistent attendance
Reward students for their commitment
Introduce families to the value of saving early for education
Please encourage your student/students to attend school so they can be eligible for the College Savings Plan.
Twelve of our students have earned a spot in the Honor Choir! The event will take place on November 3 and 4 in Elko.

❤️Support the Field of Flags Project❤️
We invite you to be part of honoring our veterans by donating to help create a Field of Flags in front of our school.
Many members of our community have served our country with courage and sacrifice. For Ms. H, this project is personal—her father served in the Vietnam Conflict. Though he returned home without visible injuries, he was later affected by chemical exposure that took his life. As Ms. H shares:
“I am proud to be able to donate to the Disabled American Veterans Association (DAV) in honor of him and those who serve in our armed forces so we can enjoy the freedoms we have. It is an honor to be able to help those who have given so much, even my dad.”
✨ For every $250 donated, we will receive 24 flags to display.
🎯 Our goal: $750 in donations to proudly honor the veterans of our school, families, and community.
