Our Leopards Boys cross country team is the 2023 NIAA Fall Season State Academic Team Champions for the 2A division!! Way to go cross country! What an accomplishment! We are proud of your hard work and dedication to your school work!



Lady Leopards Golf competed at 2A State on October 17th-18th. They placed 5th as a team. Tiffany H. placed 8th with a 233. Evely W. placed 15th with a 258. Grace O. placed 21st with a 277. Lee C. placed 40th with a 383. Melanie B. placed 41st with a 407. Meg F. was unable to compete as she got sick on the first day of state. We are proud of you!!


Honor Choir will be November 6th-7th in Elko. The performance will be on November 7th at @6 p.m. at the Elko Performing Arts Building. Congratulations to the following students who made Honor Choir.

Nevada Hands & Voices is excited to welcome your family and professionals to our first North Rural Family Summit on Saturday November 4, 2023 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. It will be a day of learning and connection for the entire family and we hope you can join us!
Registration is required at nvhandsandvoices.org/events and the cost is $5.00 per family or adult professional/community member. Registration includes access to all informational content, lunch, storytime, a fun craft, door prize raffle entry and snacks.
We’re so thankful to our host, Elko County School District, for opening their offices to us, and hope you are able to come and spend the day together.
Our mission at Nevada Hands & Voices (NVHV) is to be a parent-driven, non-profit organization that exists to support, encourage, and educate families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children so that they can be empowered to make choices that will enable their children to achieve their full potential.
We are a parent/professional collaborative group that is unbiased towards communication modes and methods. Our diverse membership includes those who are deaf, or hard of hearing and their families who communicate orally, with sign, cue, and/or combined methods.

This is just a friendly reminder that tonight is the Drama Club's performance of An Evening at the Improv. If you've ever watched "Who's Line is it Anyways?" it will be reminiscent of that. We will start the evening with some comedy skits and end with an Improv Show.

AAA Students of the Week-Elko Daily Free Press:
AAA Academic -Carolina Johnson: Senior Carolina Johnson has been a straight-A student all throughout her time at Wells High School. Her outside interests include cross country, track and FFA, earning first place individually or with her team in all activities. Carolina has participated in multiple FFA competitions and earned the State FFA degree in the spring of 2023.
AAA Athletic-Gilbert 'Frankie' Vallejo: Senior Gilbert “Frankie” Vallejo has participated in multiple sports at Wells High School. He played football for four years, basketball for three years and baseball for three years, and represents the student body on the Student PAC and Hope Squad. Frankie plans to pursue a CTE degree after high school.
AAA Artistic- Kira Boner: Senior Kira Boner has been active in performing arts at Wells High School. Acting since the eighth grade, she is a member of the Wells Drama Club, was selected for the Nevada Regional Honor Choir for two years, and is taking two dual credit classes at GBC. Kira participates in cross country and will be distance running for track in the spring.

ECSD INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL (JUNIOR HIGH) will have their first official practice the week of October 23rd-26th. If your athlete is interested in playing, please have them stop by the high school office and pick up a permission slip. The cost is $25, due with the permission slip.
Games will be on November 3rd, November 17th, December 1st, and December 9th.
