Principal Woolsey decided to take on the role of "Barista Bob" today. He wanted to express gratitude to our hardworking elementary staff for their dedication through these first 2 weeks of school. Today, our cross country team is taking part in the highly anticipated Valley Invite in Hazelton, Idaho. Meanwhile, our talented golf team is showcasing their skills in White Pine. Additionally, our spirited volleyball team will be going head to head with White Pine in Wells at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Wishing all our athletes and coaches the best of luck!

In an exciting display of athleticism and determination, our talented cross country runners took on their first meet of the season at Kasota Park. Isaac's outstanding performance secured him a well-deserved second place, accompanied by a new personal record time. Mason's impressive 12th place finish also marked a new personal best time for him. Meanwhile, on the girls' team, Millie's stellar 9th place earned her a medal in her inaugural high school cross country meet. A remarkable achievement! Congratulations to our runners for their outstanding representation of the LEOPARDS!

Our volleyball team has been working hard over the last couple of weeks. They went to the Yerington Tournament on August 16-17 and the Battle Mountain Invitational on August 23-24. In Yerington, they took on the Yerington Lions. They played hard but lost 0-2. Next, they played the Oasis Academy Bighorn Sheep. They lost 0-2. Their final game of the tournament was against the Pershing County Mustangs. They lost 0-2.
At the Battle Mountain Invitational, they played White Pine and lost 0-2. They beat Carlin 2-0 and lost to Elko JV 2-1. They will play in Wendover, Utah on Wednesday, September 4th at 4:30/5:30 pm.

On Thursday, Aug 22, 2024, the Wells Varsity Boys Football team lost their Hall of Fame Game, Honoring Ward Coates & Leon Reyes, against Carlin High School Railroaders by a score of 12-42. The Leopards will take on the Eureka Vandals on Thursday, August 29th in their 1A North League opening game. Kick-off will be @ 7 pm @ Wells High School.
