Does West Wendover Elementary offer all-day kindergarten?

Yes! All-day kindergarten is a great way to prepare young minds for learning in the years to come. Please visit the Registration page for more information about how to enroll.

Does West Wendover Elementary offer a preschool program?

We proudly offer options for even the youngest learners, and our district provides early childhood special education services, too. Please feel free to contact Cynthia Trujillo, our preschool teacher, at ctrujillo@ecsdnv.net, if you have any questions about this program.

How do I enroll my child at West Wendover Elementary?

How does West Wendover Elementary handle discipline?

We have put together a restorative behavior plan with our learners and future leaders in mind. Not only do we believe in addressing poor behavior in a positive way, we also offer multiple chances for behavior correction and character growth.

What do I need to do if my child will be absent from school?

Please let us know if your child will be absent by calling our front office at (775) 664-3100. If your child will be absent due to COVID-19, the ECSD COVID-19 Dashboard provides a wealth of information and resources for you.

How can I get more involved?

We love volunteers! Your child’s teacher will be your main source of information when it comes to what’s needed inside the classroom and on campus. If you’re a dad or father figure, please consider joining the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students).

What are the school hours?

Our doors open at 7:45 a.m., and classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and run until 3:45 p.m. Office hours run Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
